New Online Acting/Audition & Self-Taping Class August 2020


Greetings.
I am starting another Online Self-Submitting Audition/Acting/Self-Taping Class starting Tuesday, August 4 for 4 weeks.
It is offered to provide valuable information to actors. While a nominal fee is “suggested” no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Please find included in this message details (below) of a New Online Class August as well as my detailed bio. Depending on response, actors may also be joining from Los Angeles as well as New York City, Austin, and surrounding areas.

In addition to my teaching/coaching online with actors in Los Angeles, New York City, Sydney and Melbourne Australia, Auckland, NZ and surrounding areas, I want to return to offering help to the actors in the Atlanta and Southern Market. This is my first class being offered to Atlanta Area Actors since my 3 year stint working on the Broadway Production of A BRONX TALE.

Subsequent classes, in addition to specific notes on the professional physical elements of submissions, is the teaching of a solid, concrete, professional process for what to do from the moment you receive the material to the ex*****on of it, step by step.

First Class: HOW TO PRODUCE A PROFESSIONAL SELF-SUBMISSION
In the first class you will be guided step by step through the entire process of creating a highly professional level self-submission.

We will cover Technical Elements of Self-Taping/Submitting & mindset of approach:
Framing; Lighting; Sound; Background; Eye Lines, how to deal two-person & multi- character scenes, off-camera actors; dealing with physical actions and props; Slating; Editing; info card at front and/or back of file; Naming Files; Size & Format of Files; Upload & Send Files; Essential-Affordable Equipment Recommendations, etc.

Subsequent Classes: How to learn material-and how to execute the work: You will receive a pod of roles to choose one from to prepare and submit.
We will learn a process, step-by-step how to breakdown & learn material. You will submit self-taped auditions.

We will review your submissions one at a time as a group. You will receive notes on 1) professional quality & technical elements of your submission, followed by 2) acting/performance –specific notes and adjustments. Primary focus shifts to creating & strengthening a professional level, healthy process.

COST:
No one will be turned away for lack of funds
Suggested Quarantine Contribution: $10-$15/class (free if your situation demands) 4 classes total.

Greetings, each of my Atlanta Area Actors and Colleagues!

Please know I am thinking of you and the only reason I haven’t been back to work with you is because I’m up here doing it myself! LOTS to share. It is a remarkable experience and I promise you it will infuse passion, insight, and immediacy into our work together.

I look forward to seeing you soon. We are planning a spring session in Atlanta and will announce it as soon as logistics are worked out. Stay tuned.

Dear Atlanta Area Actors,

We had originally scheduled more workshops and classes in Atlanta recently, but due to my being cast in A BRONX TALE, we had to postpone the trip to Atlanta.

Please MARK YOUR CALENDARS and join me when I return to Atlanta this Spring of 2016. Be sure to keep an eye out for the upcoming specific dates we will be announcing.

In the meantime, I am honored and thrilled to be joining this amazing team of artists on this first class project.
