Every summer, our third-year students volunteer in Moultrie, GA with the Farm Worker Family Health Program (FWFHP), an interdisciplinary initiative dedicated to providing quality healthcare to Georgia’s farmworkers and their families.
This year, our students and faculty provided pro bono physical therapy services, including thorough evaluations, manual therapy, and exercise prescription. Beyond the clinical experience, our students were incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and learn from the resilience and kindness of the patients they met.
We are so thankful to be part of a DPT program that values service, community wellness, and meaningful opportunities like this. Thank you to our donors who supported us through crowdfunding and helped make this experience possible. Your generosity allows our students to learn, serve, and make a difference in the lives of others.
If you ate today, thank a farmworker! 🌱❤️

We have officially launched our crowdfunding project, Georgia State DPT Service Trip to Moultrie 2026. We are so excited to kick off this campaign in an effort to raise $5,500 in 30 days!
This year, we have 14 second-year physical therapy students volunteering to conduct screening exams and provide treatment to migrant workers and their families in June. These funds will directly support our efforts to travel to Moultrie, GA to work for the Farmworker Family Health Program. We are passionate about this project and are excited to share it with you!
