The Spelman College Health Careers Program has successfully aided Spelmanites into health and allied-health professions for over 40 years.
The Spelman College Health Careers Program has successfully aided Spelmanites into health and allied-health professions for the past 40 years. The Health Careers Program grew out of Spelman's commitment to establish a strong science education program as well as a national need to expose traditional underrepresented populations, specifically African American and minority women to health-related professions.

This event was a Physical Therapy Roundtable discussion with professionals in the physical therapy/physical medicine field. The panel also included a graduating senior, Faith Kirkland, who has been accepted into the Emory University Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. The discussion included information about admissions, shadowing experiences and career outlook.
