“When do I get to complete my first solo?” ✈️

It’s one of the most exciting questions we hear—and the answer is: it depends (in the best way).

There’s no magic number of hours to solo. Your CFI looks for safe flying, strong cockpit management, and your ability to think ahead of the airplane.

Once you’re consistently showing those skills—whether that’s at 10 hours or 20+—that’s when it happens.

And when it does? It’s a moment you’ll never forget. You got this!

Ever looked up at the sky and wondered what those clouds actually mean for flying? ☁️

These are the cloud types pilots talk about most — the ones you’ll learn to recognize early on. But there are actually more types out there, and each one tells a different story about what’s happening in the sky.

Some mean smooth flying… others are a clear sign to stay far away.

Learning how to read clouds is one of the first steps to becoming a safe, confident pilot.

Which one have you noticed the most lately?
