What a day for the Davis community! ⛳️🀄️ Parents, grandparents, alumni parents, sponsors, and friends of The Davis Academy came together with incredible energy and generosity for our 27th Annual Community Golf Tournament and inaugural “Mahj Is My Golf” Mahjong Social.
Together, these events raised more than $200,000 in support of The Davis Academy and the exceptional educational experience we provide for our students every day. Thank you to our amazing sponsors, volunteers, participants, and supporters for making both events such a tremendous success. Your support drives our mission forward and strengthens our community in so many beautiful ways! 💙
A special note of thanks to our 2026 Volunteer Chairs, Lauren Brekke, Tamar Levy, and Leanne Raxter; our Tournament Chairs Jonathan Feldman and Adam Leiber; and their incredible committee of Golf Grade Captains: Josh Boxer, Dean Breakstone, Zander Brekke, Dave Brown, Jonathan Forbes, Evan Robinson, Jeff Rosengarten, Matt Weiss, and Kevin Young. Your leadership and dedication made this unforgettable day possible!

Mechina students learned about community helpers and the important roles they play in our daily lives, highlighted by visits from local firefighters, police officers, a dentist, and a pilot. To wrap up the unit, students dressed as their favorite helpers, showcasing roles like doctors, nurses, and construction workers. It was a fun, hands-on way to celebrate all they’ve learned about the people who make our community stronger! ✨

You could feel the energy the moment it began ✨
Kabbalat Shabbat filled our space and our hearts with something truly special. A packed and deeply meaningful Kabbalat Shabbat reflected the very essence of our community. We were honored to celebrate our 8th graders at their Sendoff Shabbat, sending them off with love as they prepare for a meaningful and transformative journey to Central Europe.
One of the most powerful moments came as community rabbis of the Atlanta area brought Torah scrolls from the Czech Republic. As our students stood encircled by these sacred scrolls, they were quite literally surrounded by Jewish connection, resilience, and continuity, a living reminder that wherever they go, they carry our shared story with them.
Mazel tov to The Davis Academy Class of 2026!💙✡️
