And here are the nominees!! Thank you to everyone who submitted and congratulations to the nominees! Tomorrow we will be hosting the showcase in room 254 (the dollhouse room) in 1600. Nominees should bring their computers to display their work and winners will be voted on live during the event! We hope to see everyone there for our last big event of the school year at 8pm TOMORROW!! There will be food and music so please stop by! As always anyone is welcome. See you there!!!

Get ready because the Design Showcase is among us!! This showcase is an opportunity for seniors and graduates to have their work on display for the whole department! At the event, a winner for each category will be chosen by popular vote live during the event. We have 5 categories!

1. Typography
2. Packaging
3. Branding
4. Motion
5. Print/Editorial

Submissions will be open on Thursday 04/17 and located in our bio! Submissions are only for seniors and graduates. It will be an awesome opportunity to have your work displayed along with being just a fun night with the graphic design community (but as always, all are welcome). It will be hosted Thursday, May 7th at 8-10pm in room 254, 1600 Main Building. This is our last event of the school year so we hope to see everyone there!!

Ctrl+Alt Connect is coming up!! Join us at the SCADstory entrance in the 1600 Main Building at 6-8:30PM on April 9 for the chance to meet and talk with SCAD Alum industry professionals from a range of different companies. From in-house design to agency work, there is so much knowledge to gained from these amazing designers. This is a great opportunity to talk face to face with people who have had real world experience in the design industry. This event is open to any student in any major. Food will be provided and we ask that you leave computers at home. We hope to see you there!

It’s that time! Mark your calendars for our two upcoming events this spring quarter. We have a very exciting lineup of Ctrl+Alt Connect and the Design Showcase! Ctrl+Alt Connect is a networking event where students can talk to and connect to SCAD alums in the design industry. The Design Showcase is an opportunity for graphic design seniors and graduates to submit their work to be showcased. The first event is Ctrl+Alt Connect so keep an eye out this week for more information!! Happy Spring Quarter everyone!!!

Print, Peel & Create is on the horizon! Join us on February 12th for our first event of the quarter! We will be making stickers in room 338 in the Main Building! You can bring your designs or make them on the spot and we will print them for you. Can’t wait to see you there!! 😉

SCAD D.A.D.s is coming in hot! This Thursday we will be meeting in room 254 in the 1600 Main Building to kick off the start of SCAD D.A.D.s: Designers Advising Designers. If you haven’t signed up yet the links are in our bio! This is such a great opportunity to build our design community here in Atlanta and share the knowledge with younger creatives. We really encourage everyone to sign up because the more people we have the better! This event will be carried into the next quarters as well so you can get to know your mentor/mentee well!
