Today in 1899 the first issue of the Wall Street Journal was published. Today, the WSJ is the nation's largest newspaper by circulation, nearly 2.5 million a day (USA Today comes in second at about 1.7 million daily). WSJ has won 35 Pulitzer Prizes, including the 2007 Public Service prize for reporting on stock options abuses.
