I’m no one special, just a classroom teacher.

I’ve been teaching since 2006, always trying to get students to actually speak the language. I found TPRS years ago, and it helped. My students spoke more than they ever had with a textbook or other methods I had tried.

But this year something changed. I tried TPRS 2.0. Honestly, I was skeptical.

Now, we're almost in April and I can't believe what my students can do! And I’ll be the first to tell you... I’m still figuring it out myself.

It's been a busy one so far! I am beyond humbled to have been invited to be the keynote speaker at the Alabama World Language Association's conference this past February in Mobile, Alabama! AWLA is such a wonderful group of educators!

Things are going well teaching! But it's making it harder to make new videos. I hope to work on a few new videos next week on my spring break! But for now, check out this oldie but goodie... in fact someone showed me a video in Alabama of their students singing it!

I had the privilege of being the keynote speaker last weekend in Mobile, Alabama at the Alabama World Languages Association - AWLA conference!

I talked about how my journey has led me to keep trying to find ways to get my students to speak and how excited I am about the results I am seeing. I also had a breakout session where I presented on teaching with novels. Craig Sheehy (from TPRS Books) and I had a blast and I can't wait to go back!
