Today is Take Action for Libraries Day, a day to recognize that libraries are much more than just bookshelves. In our case, we offer so much more than audiobooks. GLS provides patrons with meaningful and fun programs, such as our GLS Tech Talk sessions, lively Bingo games, and creative Crochet classes. Supporting the library means keeping programs like these alive and thriving.

It’s National Library Outreach Day! At its heart, outreach is about building relationships, spreading awareness, and ensuring no patron is left behind. Our outreach team serves as our "boots on the ground," traveling across the state to guarantee that everyone has access to accessible library services. As a statewide organization, our outreach staff is the essential link that connects us to the people we serve, wherever they are.

Happy National Library Worker Day!
Today we are celebrating the people who make GLS great. A huge shoutout to our Reader Advisors for providing a personal touch and expert guidance to our patrons, and the Distribution Center Staff for the heavy lifting required to get talking book players and cartridges into hands statewide.
