Proud to celebrate Tushar Krishna, who has received the 2026 ACM SIGARCH Maurice Wilkes Award, one of the most prestigious honors in computer architecture.

Krishna's research and open-source tools have transformed how researchers and industry design, evaluate, and optimize the AI systems powering today's computing infrastructure. He is the first GT ECE faculty member to receive the award.

Like the internet before it, AI systems need shared standards to work together. Tushar Krishna’s team and collaborators have released Chakra, a new set of tools developed through MLCommons to help make that possible.

Using Georgia Tech’s AI Makerspace as a real-world testbed, the effort brings together academia and industry (including NVIDIA, AMD, Meta, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Keysight Technologies) to make AI systems easier to analyze, compare, and improve.
