Congratulations to Yun Kim and Cayce Sherer on becoming participants in the Georgia Speech-Language-Hearing Association (GSHA) Mentoring & Leadership Academy (GLMA). They are the first students representing our department in the academy! We are so proud of you and we are honored to have you both representing our program!

Congratulations to our student, Lucia Martinez, on being selected for the MSLP Class of 2026 ASHA Student Leadership Program! She was selected from a pool of 170 applicants with only 40 awardees nationally. We are so proud of you!

We had a wonderful two days of New Student Orientation this week! Our new cohort had the opportunity to learn from current students, meet their advisors, get to know one another, and learn more about the program. We are so excited for all of you and can’t wait to see all that you accomplish throughout your time at GSU!

Congratulations to Gillian Anderson and Michelle Hart on being selecting as recipients of the 2026 ANCDS Conference Student Fellowship! The Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences (ANCDS) Student Fellowship recognizes graduate students with an interest in neurogenic communication disorders and provides opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and engagement within the field. With only 12 students selected for this competitive fellowship, we are incredibly proud of you both and this well-deserved accomplishment!
