We are a President's Distinguished Club of Toastmasters International - the leading movement devoted to making effective communication a reality.

The environment in a Toastmasters club is friendly and supportive. Everyone at a Toastmasters meeting feels welcome and valued - from complete beginners to advanced speakers. In a club meeting, you practice giving prepared speeches as well as brief impromptu presentations, known as Table Topics. There is no rush and no pressure: The Toastmasters program allows you to progress at your own pace. Con

🌍Our Fall 2022 Open House was a stupendous success, with an impressive turnout both in-person and virtually!

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸŽ¨The highlight of the event was our keynote speaker Lord whose terrific speech opened our eyes to various life and career lessons we can learn from artists!

πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ Our club's leadership team was in action mode - President Michael J. Bowles opened and closed the meeting, while VP Public Relations Rohit Mujumdar was Toastmaster of the Day. While our Secretary Felicia Kemp, delved into the nuances of speech and evaluation at a Toastmasters meeting, our VP Eduction Brennan Day delineated the benefits of being a member of the club.

πŸ’₯The fun part of the meeting was helmed by VP Membership Andrew Padron, who posed impromptu Table Topic questions to our attendees!

πŸŽ–Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a great success!

🎯Be a part of our Toastmasters club - feel free to comment or DM us!

(PS: We are already looking forward to our next open-house! πŸ™ˆπŸ‘€)

A Toastmasters Club is a great way of improving your grammar and vocabulary! At every Toastmasters Club, we have a Grammarian, who keeps track of the grammar used during the meeting and plays the role of Word-of-the-Day Master.

They present a β€œword for the day” at the beginning of the meeting, keep track, and report on who used it. Being Word of the Day Master also provides an exercise in expanding listening skills.

Here are the Words-of-the-day for the month of September 2022, at Club:

Sep 7 – Visionary : A person with original ideas about what the future will or could be like

Sep 14 - Histrionic : Overly theatrical or melodramatic in character and style

Sep 21 – Superfluous : Unnecessary, especially through being more than enough

Sep 28 – Obfuscate : To make something less clear and harder to understand, especially intentionally

A few weeks ago, we had the absolute pleasure of conducting a communication skills workshop for the Women In NCR organization.

The workshop focused on learning how to write and deliver effective Elevator Pitches, a handy tool everyone has to use at multiple points in their careers.

Toastmasters Hilor Shah and Felicia Kemp spearheaded the session by giving the audience a tutorial, complete with practical tips on how to develop, refine and deliver elevator pitches in different professional contexts and settings.

Toastmasters Rohit Mujumdar, Derek Sabino and Michael J. Bowles ensured a smooth flow of the session while also acquainting the audience with what a Toasmasters club is all about!

The best part of the session was when women in the audience worked with one another to develop their own elevator pitches, gave each other feedback and even presented some of the pitches in front of everyone - all in true style!

Here are a few glimpses from the session ~

We are looking forward to all our guests joining us tomorrow for our Spring Open House!

"In 2020 with the increase in virtual meetings I saw my colleague Marvin Hernandez host engaging virtual meetings with a confidence that was inspiring. When I asked him for tips he introduced me to Toastmasters and sharing that I could do it too. Marvin invited me to virtually join a meeting as a guest that summer. I was impressed and a little overwhelmed with the level of organization the meeting had but also saw the same confidence in many of the members. I pondered joining for the remainder of 2020 until finally stepping out of my comfort zone in January 2021.

A year later I've seen how Toastmasters has been helped me bring the experience gained through our weekly meetings and the lessons learned during my pathways education into my career and personal life. In fact I'm proud to say that being a member of the iNCRedible Toastmasters club helped me get promoted!

Thank you Marvin for introducing me to International and to my fellow iNCRedible Toastmasters Club members for supporting and encouraging my growth!" Michael J. Bowles
