With an emphasis on 1961, topics include the state government's resistance to the ๐ต๐๐๐ค๐ ๐ฃ๐ . ๐ต๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ธ๐๐ข๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ decision, the Sibley Commission, the experiences of the "Atlanta Nine," and the strategies Atlanta politicians used to avoid the negative headlines that plagued other cities' school desegregation efforts.
