Dr. M. Brian Blake, executive vice president for academic affairs and provost at George Washington University, has been named Georgia State University’s president by the University System Board of Regents. He begins his tenure Aug. 9.

Between virtual learning, limited social interaction, and financial hardship, the 2020-21 school year has been rough for kids. That’s why the UACM Master’s in Teaching Elementary Education cohort made GA COVID Catch-Up, an online resource database for families/caregivers in Georgia to help their K-5 kids “catch up” over the summer before the new school year begins. On this website, we’ve compiled countless educational resources (both academic and social/emotional) as well as community resources for family financial welfare. Please spread the word to help our kids start strong in the new school year!
