Today, on National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NNHAAD), the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine stands in solidarity with American Indian and Alaska Native communities in the fight against HIV.
NNHAAD is a time to honor the strength, resilience, and cultural richness of Native communities while raising awareness about the ongoing impact of HIV. We recognize the importance of culturally grounded prevention, expanded access to testing and care, and addressing the social and structural factors that contribute to health disparities.
Together, we can reduce stigma, promote education, and support community-led solutions that empower Native voices and protect future generations.
