The art experience that comes to you: bringing hands on lessons with talented local artists to your home or community setting. (See our projects).
If you live in the Atlanta Metro Area and want to take private art lessons, have group art lessons, learn a new skill, hone an artistic talent, or try something new... Art at Home ATL may be the answer for you or other family members of all ages. We offer art from A to Z (Adobe Photoshop to Zen-tangled glass bottles) in one-time projects and as multiple classes. And, our artists come to you where
you are! Yes, we do parties, corporate team building events, after school enrichment classes and more! Birthdays, sip n' paints, girls' night in, weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and all "reason to get together occasions." Art at Home lets you, your family, and friends learn a new skill or hone an artistic talent by creating quality art work to cherish or give as gifts. Our expert artists, carefully screened, and trained in a variety of art disciplines, visit your home/school/workplace with all the supplies necessary to create a particular work in a chosen medium such as: bookbinding, ceramics, drawing/cartooning, embroidery, felting, flower arranging, glassworks, jewelry making, knitting, painting, sewing and soapmaking- and more. They also can teach a series of introductory lessons if you are just beginning to explore the arts, such as drawing or painting, or even adobe photoshop. During 90-minute, 2-hour, or 3-hour sessions, based on the scope of the selected project, and then scheduled based on mutual availability, our artists provide instruction, one-on-one or in small groups, providing a fun activity for you or a group of friends. This is a great opportunity for homeschoolers to explore a variety of artistic mediums. It is also a great option for a party or team-building event!

"If a media company gave you $8,000,000" what would you create? That is how comic book artist Vincent Allen started camp with his group of young campers at The Schenck School this week. We can't wait to hear the stories that go with these drawings of dragons, Santa's Workshop, Taco loving Kitty and more!

Would you work at Woodworking? Montessori In Town would!
Year 1 they made race cars, year 2 birdhouses, year 3 a wood clock with ceramic numbers. So what were we going to do this year??? Artist Gwen taught them how to make criss-cross chair and a sofa arm cup holder!

"It's a Good Sign!" Thank you CHOA PICU Chaplaincy (Children's Healthcare of Atlanta) for having AAH lead a sign-making art project for your nurses' retreats. Yesterday's PICU group was a lively, fun-loving bunch. They were laughing and smiling so it was hard to capture everyone with eyes open.

I loved doing lanyards when I was at camp. Kumihimo is like lanyards on steroids! Two groups at Cliff Vally School really enjoyed practicing this ancient Japanese art of the Samurais.

Some creative fun with ceramics: we worked with Atlanta Montessori International School to make mugs out of clay! When we met again the following week they put on the handle and base on the mugs and glazed them.

Dismantling a disposable camera - that's a great way to see how a camera works! Then the Montessori In Town group lined up spaced evenly across a room to see the different perspectives, and varying pictures from each vantage point.
