The Georgia Department of Education is partnering with The Home Depot to introduce students to skilled-trade career opportunities. 🛠️

Through Path to Pro Skills Explorers, middle and high school students can explore construction, electrical work, plumbing, and other skilled trades using free, hands-on resources aligned with Georgia’s Career Pathways.

The partnership gives students another opportunity to build real-world skills and see a clear path from the classroom to a high-demand career.

🌱 Happy !

Today, we celebrate Georgia's agricultural educators who help students develop leadership skills, explore high-demand careers, and gain hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for the future.

We're especially proud of 2026 Georgia Teacher of the Year Rachel Kinsaul, an agricultural education teacher at Morgan County High School, whose work exemplifies the impact Ag educators make every day.

Thank you to all of Georgia's agricultural educators for helping students learn, lead, and grow.

Georgia’s Department of Education CTAE staff hit the road today for the “On The Road” CTAE North Region Meeting, hosted at the Clarence Brown Conference Center in Cartersville! North Region administrators, business and industry partners, and stakeholders came together to explore CTAE’s commitment to making Georgia the Top State for Talent.

The day featured a powerful lineup of speakers, including Deputy Superintendent Dr. Barbara Wall, Cartersville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Marc Feuerbach, and State Representative Matthew Gambill, along with a dynamic panel of CTAE directors and superintendents sharing local impact strategies.

Attendees also heard from economic development leaders, workforce data experts from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, local system best practices from Union County, and industry partner Kubota Manufacturing on building strong talent pipelines through work-based learning.

To cap off a day of learning, networking, and collaboration, attendees toured Toyo Tires, gaining a firsthand look at advanced manufacturing operations and the critical role industry partnerships play in developing Georgia’s Future Workforce!

Four Georgia students are representing their state and peers nationwide as national officers in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) during the 2026-2027 school year, reflecting the growing strength and reach of Georgia's CTSOs, which are an integral component of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE).

The students, representing three CTSOs, are:
Graham Mull, Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy – FCCLA national president
Noor Khan, Cambridge High School – SkillsUSA national president
Tiffany Kim, Wesleyan School – TSA national reporter
Emma Grace Maisonneuve, Franklin County High School – TSA national sergeant-at-arms

CTAE continues to lead the way in preparing Georgia’s future workforce!

On Tuesday, the Regional Joint CTAE and Rivian Workforce Development Meeting brought together representatives from Rivian, the Georgia Department of Education, local school administrators, and economic development professionals from Newton, Walton, and Morgan counties to discuss workforce needs and partnership opportunities connected to the new Rivian manufacturing facility.

These collaborative conversations are helping align education with industry, ensuring students have access to high-quality Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education programs that develop the skills, experiences, and credentials needed for high-demand careers.

Strong partnerships between education, business, and community leaders are the foundation of a thriving workforce pipeline. Georgia CTAE is proud to help connect classrooms to careers and support the economic success of our students, our communities, and our state.
