Breakthrough Atlanta

🎓 We’re celebrating our graduating seniors with our annual Scholar Send-Off! Today, we congratulate Anthony who is headed to Georgia Southern University as a Pre-Med Biology major with a minor in public health.

During high school, Anthony was a member of:

He also led as the Class of 2026 Treasurer and was heavily involved in volunteer work: assisting in church, helping at two different thrift stores, around his school, and serving in different Nigerian organizations (to stay rooted in his culture).

Anthony took on a job at a Rex Childcare Early Learning Center to stay connected to kids, ensuring they have a relatable role model and leader that is closer to their age.

Anthony said: “My favorite Breakthrough moment would be when we had the field day. We had a wonderful day outside just competing with each other and making fun memories.”

During high school, Mario:

Breakthrough offered time to communicate and connect with your teachers, staff, peers, and many others. It was the greatest skill I learned there. It taught me how to talk and open up to people. It gave me a place/group where I felt I belonged.”
