As we continue to celebrate , we are excited to highlight some of our incredible alumni. Jaden's father shared:
"Those were such formative years for Kerri and I as parents - and Jaden going from a baby to an interactive child. Getting to volunteer many times throughout the year allowed us to watch him discover the world through the atelier, the community farm, Sally, the tree, clearing lunch tables, tactile stations, and his many friends."
Jaden, a proud GPCP alum, is now a fourth grader at ANCS! He's a budding musician, and has a passion for all things sports. Best of all, he still carries the same personable charm and kind heart that made him shine at GPCP. โค๏ธ๐ตโฝ
Thank you and for sharing your memories with us!

Purchase a shirt today to support GPCP and share the magic of the Mud Monster with the world. LINK IN BIO.
The Mud Monster is a symbol that captures the spirit of community, resilience, creativity and the brilliance of children. It is a symbol that embodies what Grant Park Cooperative Preschool is all about.
Over 2 years, starting in the mid-2000s, GPCP's children designed and built the Mud Monster. In 2009 the Mud Monster was STOLEN! This shirt was originally designed as the community was in search of our beloved GPCP guardian. In 2011, with much fanfare, our friend was found and returned to its home. You can visit the Mud Monster outside of GPCP anytime. And now you can spread its story!

The children of GPCP and the Grant Park community are invited to join storytellers and educators on a magical adventure through an Enchanted Forest where plots of our favorite songs invite us into worlds of imagination and awe. This special, once a year event, "Night of Stories," is for young children and families and aims to build connection and community through oral storytelling, while harnessing the magic of the season through the eyes of childhood.
It will take place on December 14th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and December 15th from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A vegetarian dinner will be provided. Read more, and register here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0A49ACA929A5FA7-53283574-gpcp

It's that time of year! Weather is changing. Time to clean out your kiddos summer clothes (because even if they are cute, they won't fit next summer!) and pick out a new wardrobe for the coming year.
Clothing drop-off is happening all next week at GPCP (it's also your chance to say hi ๐๐ผ to the Mud Monster!). Swapping will begin at 9 am on Saturday, November 16th. Bring a bag! Bring a friend! Bring your kids and check out our playground. โบ๏ธ We'll see you there!
Yesterday was GPCPs annual Costume Parade and Fall Picnic - and what a special day it was! ๐ป๐ฆธ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คOur families paraded from the school to Grant Park, not just for fun and games (though, OF COURSE, those were included), but to also introduce our adults to the magical world the children of GPCP have created in their local park. ๐ณ๐โ๐ซ
Our Director of Pedagogy, Candace, kicked off our "Season of Stories" by sharing the stories of the children's favorite tree, Sally, the Foggy Forest, the Shoe Fairy Tree, and the Troll Cave.๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ง She also provided a fabulous tour of these magic spots. Grant Park plays such an important role in the lives of our students. We were thrilled to share that with our families!
Our Season of Stories is just beginning! Visit us here often to learn more in the coming weeks. AND REMINDER: We still have spots available! Reach out anytime.
