1. The GEA works to bridge the gap between faculty and graduate students and to provide a graduate student voice at departmental meetings.

The Graduate English Association aims to create a sense of community and to assist with professionalization for all graduate students in the English Department at Georgia State University. PURPOSE
The Purpose of the Graduate English Association (GEA) is to increase graduate student participation and social, professional, administrative, and scholarly activities. The GEA sponsors several orientatio

n-type events for incoming and new students in order to facilitate their transition into the graduate program.
3. The GEA seeks to sponsor students' travel to conferences by reimbursing student registration fees to all those accepted at conferences during the fiscal year for as long as funds remain available. FUNCTIONS
The GEA organizes various events targeting graduate students' professional and academic needs as well as events that utilize a social atmosphere to increase morale and a sense of community.

Looking for a GRAship? Then look no further!

The Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora (CSAD) is happy to announce the opening of applications for Faculty Fellows and Mellon Graduate Assistantships!

Fellowships will start in the Fall 2022 semester and are 8-10 hours. Graduate assistants are needed in Symposium Support, Lectures Support, Workshop Support, and Website Management. Applications are due April 15th, direct all inquiries to [email protected].

GSU's New Voices conference has extended its deadline from 1/1 to 1/15. This year, New Voices is a completely free, virtual conference that is great for both undergraduate and graduate students to gain valuable experience, so if you have research to present yourself, know of a student who is working on a project, wrote an amazing paper, or wants to dip their toe into academic conferences, send them to our website!

We welcome submissions in Rhetoric and Composition, all genres of Creative Writing, and Literary Studies.
