Ya’ll...I miss outside so much 😩

I miss traveling without taking 500 extra safety precautions..

I miss the creativity that flows when I travel...some of my best biz ideas started in my notes section while sitting at the airport

I miss experiencing different cultures and interacting with strangers with ease...

I miss hugging my friends & hell random strangers for that matter..

Though some things have somewhat restored to “normal”, just like many of you..I had to accept that some things have changed forever this year.

Some friendships/relationships had to shift a bit this year.

My businesses have gone through some significant pivots in order to survive the pandemic.

My self-care routine had to turn up a few notches in order to maintain my sanity.

My overall view on certain things have changed significantly this year. Though I miss some things, I’m grateful I got to experience them as they were so I could be prepared for what is and what is to come.

For the rest of 2020, I’ll be sharing a few lessons learned this year in both biz and life but in the meantime...

Anybody else in obsessed with Ponce City Market?? I promise every time I go I find some random gem..whether it be my fav burrito at Minero or a delish flight at City Winery.

With Covid changing life on so many levels, it’s nice to have a little bit of “normal”.

What gifts do you bring to the table??

That has to be one of my ALL-TIME favorite questions to ask my biz clients bc here’s the ugly truth...

If you don’t understand YOUR gifts, you will continuously waste your time trying to emulate others gifts or the “next best thing”.

And here’s the catch...when you’re not operating in YOUR zone, you will not be able to maintain whatever it is that you are imitating.

That dream life you want...

That dream business you so desire...

That dope career you’ve been daydreaming about...

Yes sis...all of that!!

It won’t manifest itself until you give yourself permission to be YOU! The real you!

That natural ability you have to create, organize, plot, plan, and execute..The way you can easily connect to people, speak with authority and every other hidden talent you have...Embrace it!

On Sundays, I like to spend my time vibing, in my athleisure clothes and enjoying the simple pleasures of life like blasting J. Cole, or watching the Real Housewives of Potomac, or catching up with the fam.

I don’t know about you guys but...Self-care has a WHOLE new meaning for me this year.

I LOVE working, building businesses, supporting clients and all the fun, cute i$h that comes with entrepreneurship but let me be honest.... I can’t truly serve any of “my tribe” if my cup is empty.

Being INTENTIONAL has been one of my keys to success this year.

🔘 Intentionally pouring into the people who need me the most

🔘 Intentionally showing love even when I’d much rather cuss someone out 🤷🏽‍♀️

🔘 Intentionally choosing to build in silence

🔘 Intentionally taking care of my body by eating well, exercising and resting

🔘 Intentionally showing others GRACE because this year is hard for people for different reasons

🔘 Intentionally laughing, smiling, and putting on a red lip bc it feels good 💃🏽

Be INTENTIONAL Biz Friends..it’s the best way to build up your strength.

With less than 2.5 months left in the month, you have to make a decision about how you want to close out this year.

More life or more drama?

More strategic planning or random biz moves?

More “coulda, shoulda but what had happened was..” or I DID That??

More time with the people you love or more solitude?

A new President or another four years or chaos with the current administration?

Of course some things are beyond our control, but we must Be INTENTIONAL about the things we can control.

Here’s a hard truth Biz Friends...
If you’re only willing to pay a max of $100 for a product/service, you’ll have a hard time selling higher ticketed items. Truth is...You may even stutter a little bit when you a client asks you the price of your $1000 product/service bc it just feels like it’s too much.

And here’s why:
Your beliefs about money are rooted in your spending habits AND directly impact what you charge your customers for products/services.

Whether you believe it or not...Your money mindset flows into many areas of life. From the hand soap and toilet tissue decisions you make to the car you drive, your money mindset was there when you opted to add the product/service to your cart and/or wishlist.

So if you’re not willing to invest in:
▪️a new course/class to hone your skills

▪️a new camera for better images and videos

▪️a new hire to help streamline your processes

▪️a new software to improve your backend systems

▪️a Coach to help you see your blind spots and push you to the Next Level

▪️ new relationships to support your personal & professional development

Then, don’t be upset when customers aren’t willing to invest in what you’re selling OR when you feel stuck in a rut. The best thing you can ever invest in is YOURSELF.

Research indicates your personality traits are developed in your childhood. Though there is much debate about exactly “when” they are set in stone, it’s safe to say you started showing little hints of who you would be today a while ago Biz Friend.

If you were the kid with straight A’s back in the day, 9 times out 10 you are the adult who loves to thrive professionally. You know the one with hella accolades 😉

Or if you were the tween who begged to go to the school dances or the local teen night parties, mmmm you might be the one who loves a good Day Party and brunch now. (Guilty 🙋🏽‍♀️ lol)

Ya”ll...I can’t wait to share the special project we’ve been working on in preparation for ’s app release. Like many of my Biz Friends, we were directly impacted by Covid as well - which means we had to change HOW we launched our newest baby.

This by far has been one of THEE most exciting and Challenging projects I’ve EVER done. And honeyyyy when I tell you, I’ve been stretched in ways in ways I didn’t even know were “a thing”, 🗣I MEAN IT!

Never would I ever have thought I’d be stepping into the “tech world” but sis is definitely doing it and I can barely contain my excitement. I’ll be sharing more about about the journey really soon 😉
