This recognition reflects the strength of our cross-campus partnerships, with nearly 50 campus partners contributing to and elevating our shared impact. From social events to volunteer opportunities, we’ve increased alumni engagement and welcomed more alumni back to campus—efforts that have been recognized campus-wide. We are proud of our department’s growth and increased visibility and are honored to share this award with all of you.

What brought you back to campus this year?

Meet Jourdan Russell ’28, who’s already making an impact.

Named a 2026 Rough Draft Atlanta “20 Under 20” honoree, Jourdan is leading through service, advocacy, and community engagement. From organizing initiatives that address food insecurity to advancing civic work beyond campus, she’s turning her Oglethorpe experience into action.

Students like Jourdan are why Oglethorpe matters, and it’s support from Petrels like you that makes it possible.

Tomorrow, we induct the Class of 2026 into the Alumni Association, but you may have seen them at an Alumni event already! 👀

We loved hosting our senior class for the Golden Petrels Luncheon Panel and for our Stomp the Lawn celebration. We will see you all back on campus before you know it!

We loved seeing everyone in Greenville last week for our last stop in the presidential tour this year💐
