Thrive S.T.R.E.A.M Summer Camp is designed to stop summer learning loss in its tracks and provide a fun, stimulating environment where students will participate in science projects, practice their math skills, engage in reading and the arts all while growing in the love of God.

This year, we are integrating musical instruments and some great structured reading strategies for students who require support.

CAMP DETAILS:
WEEK 1: THE SOUNDS OF SUMMER- July 15-19
We'll focus on the science of sound, with a splash of taste, smell and touch with physics, engineering, art, music, and biology.

WEEK 2: SUMMERTIME DREAMS: - July 22- 26
This week, campers will investigate and experience vision through biology, engineering, chemistry, physics, music and art.

TIME: Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm

Congratulations to Liberty Gladden, a The Shepherd's Academy alumni! She was recently awarded the Boren Award National Security Scholarship, a highly competitive honor that allows recipients to travel abroad, study the language and culture of another country, then return to America to work in the federal government. She is the first student at her Korean school in 20 years to receive the honor. God is positioning ambassadors all over the world.

The Boren Scholarship sends undergraduate students to countries that are underrepresented in study abroad, countries that may lack a strong relationship with America. Many Boren Award alumni have launched careers in the Departments of State, Defense, and Homeland Security, specifically because of the experience obtained through the scholarship. We're proud of you!

The Bible tells us those who are arrogant and have a haughty heart are an abomination to Him. There are two Greek forms of the word arrogance used in the New Testament, essentially meaning the same. Huperogkos means “swelling” or “extravagant” as used in “arrogant words” (2 Peter 2:18; Jude 1:16). The other is phusiosis, meaning a “puffing up of the soul” or “loftiness, pride” (2 Corinthians 12:20). It is incumbent upon believers to recognize that being arrogant or having a pompous attitude is antithetical to godliness (2 Peter 1:5-7). Arrogance is nothing more than an overt display of one’s sense of self-importance (2 Timothy 3:2). It is akin to that “it’s all about me” mindset that says, “The world revolves around me” (Proverbs 21:24).
