For the rest of this month, I will be teaching and continuing to celebrate our 2 big March holidays with this group in the most special way possible. 2022 BLESSED AND BRIGHT WINTER FUNDRAISER 🎄

This year has been unlike any other since my back injury in mid-September. "I don't think people really understand what is going on with you and how serious it is" Shelton says sometimes. I can totally believe that because I don't fully understand it myself and I'm living it. Numerous doctors, painkillers, anti-inflammatories, tests and I still don't have a solid diagnosis or real answers about what's happening or why healing isn't a linear thing I can grasp and look forward to. It's beyond frustrating especially for someone who never ever stops moving and 7 weeks in still doesn't fully understand why my body won't just do what its always done. I've been caring for children since I was 12 or 13 without interruption occasionally working 2 or 3 jobs at a time and now I wake up not knowing if it will be a wheelchair, walker or crutch day. 4 weeks ago I fell making the intitial injury something much worse and officially had to stop working during to immobility. After a few solid weeks on bedrest unable to do much of anything by myself I know when its time to ask my community for HELP. Winter 2020 I posted a small Blessed and Bright Facebook Fundraiser which made it possible for me to keep the school running through covid and mandatory closings. I'm still amazed and so thankful for the generosity of my friends, family and the past and present Blessed and Bright community of parents. This sweet, little school that could wouldn't survive without in this new normal without all of you.
I'm asking my community make a donation to the Blessed and Bright Christmas fundraiser to help keep us afloat until I can hopefully return to work in January. Praying that a few more weeks will bring more healing, answers, rest and blessings to my body, mind and soul.
