Today we’re celebrating our amazing Associate Program Manager, Chelsea!

If our learning center were an ant colony, Chelsea would absolutely be at the heart of the action: keeping things moving, making sure everyone has what they need, and somehow accomplishing about 100 things at once! Her incredible strength, determination, and behind-the-scenes magic help keep our operations running smoothly every day.

But Chelsea’s greatest superpower is the way she nurtures our students’ confidence upon arrival and during our simulations. She makes sure everyone feels seen, supported, and encouraged to become the very best versions of themselves.

Chelsea also has a HUGE heart for animals of every size, shape, and species. And when Nola and Scarlett met her, they knew right away she was one of their and bonded from the very first moment!

Outside of work, Chelsea is a lifelong learner who loves reading, arranging flowers, and finding beauty in the unexpected.

So today, we’re celebrating Chelsea and all the strength, kindness, curiosity, and joy she brings to our learning center.

May the year ahead bring you plenty of animal snuggles, sweet surprises, and an endless supply of Gushers!

College fair season has begun, and any opportunity to connect with admissions counselors is truly worthwhile! Universities usually have regional counselors, which also means the individual at any Atlanta-area fairs will typically be the person who will read applications from Atlanta-area students!

Here are a few key tips for students to make the most of college fairs:

- Create a list of colleges you plan to see at the fair.

- Prepare a few questions in advance that will show interest in the school - and help you learn information about the college that is not easily found online. Some examples include:
If I were to poll the students about what they’d like to change, what would they say?
What are some of the pressing issues on campus right now?

- Take a backpack or large bag to store the promotional college materials, in addition to the business cards* of the admissions counselors in attendance.

- Send a quick thank-you email (using the email address on the business cards*) to admissions counselors you have good conversations with - and who represent colleges you are interested in. Wearing something memorable can help differentiate you too! For instance: I was the girl in the bright green shirt who asked about how students engage in the local community. I just wanted to thank you for...

- Use any remaining time to visit colleges not on your preliminary list to see if any pique your interest!

- Lastly, don't be intimidated! Most of these counselors are young graduates of the colleges themselves, and they have been hand selected for their affable nature!
