On Thursday, lower school students who have been part of Entrepreneurship Club pitched their business ideas to a panel of investors. This has been such a formative experience for students over the last two years, and we are excited to announce that we will be piloting a new curriculum building on this for upper school students at Heritage, beginning January 2023 and implemented gradually: Foundations at Heritage. Swipe to learn more!
Experience the difference of a Christ-centered classical education. Parents of rising 6th-9th grade students are invited to experience middle and high school at Heritage Prep by observing a Humanities class in action on December 7. To register, please email Mrs. Michelle Marriott at [email protected].
Father God, thank you for the incredible Heritage community. Happy Thanksgiving!
What a special morning on campus yesterday as we celebrated Grandparents Day 2022. We are grateful for the love and support of Heritage grandparents.
Today, our community came together to honor veterans and lift up our country in prayer. We had the privilege to hear Colonel John Fuchko deliver a powerful message on duty and love. It was such a special morning! Veterans, we owe you a tremendous debt of gratitude. Thank you for your service.
As we prepare for Veterans Day on Friday, November 11, we want to invite all of our families and their loved ones to attend our Veterans Day chapel. This is always a special time to honor those who have sacrificed so much for our country and to lift up our veterans, their families, and our country in prayer.
What an incredible season for fall athletics at Heritage Prep! Both the MS boys and MS girls cross country teams took home a MAAC championship, and our MS volleyball team won the MAAC Division 3 championship! Join us in cheering on our JV cross country team as they travel to Macon for the state meet. Go Rams!
HS students and faculty had an incredible experience this week of enjoying lunch and interviewing Dr. Wayne Grudem, one of the foremost biblical scholars and author of the systematic theology textbook used by all Class 10 students at Heritage. Thank you to Mr. John Weichel for inviting Dr. Grudem.
We are overwhelmed by the extravagant display of community and generosity at Saturday evening’s 19th annual Heritage Auction.

It’s an evening we won't forget! Thank you for choosing to invest into the life and mission of Heritage Preparatory School.

May we continue to shine bright as we raise up a generation of students who know, love, and practice that which is true, good, and excellent and prepare them to live purposefully and intelligently in the service of God and man.
These crisp days of fall mean a special hands-on activity for our Enrichment students … pumpkin math! Students counted seeds, measured distance, and calculated the weight of their pumpkins!
We invite you to come and experience the difference of a classical Christ-centered school that equips students to think with excellence, believe with confidence, and live with character.

Please visit heritageprep.org to register for lower school campus tours and upper school classroom observations.
Welcome to Championship Week at Heritage Prep! We look forward to a full week ahead of cheering on the Rams.
What do you do when you and your best friend tie at the Junior Rams cross-country meet? You share your medal, of course! Our Junior Rams program not only builds a strong pipeline of young athletes but young men and women who display a genuine love for one another!
Last month, our middle and high school students rallied together to collect nearly 200 pairs of pajamas to support the work of Jambos, a local non-profit that exists to bring comfort to children as they journey through the unknowns of the foster care system. We pray that opportunities like these would stir the affections of our students to serve the kingdom of God and engage culture faithfully.

Joyful discovery happens inside and outside the classroom at Heritage, especially during play break. This is an intentional time for students to break from the order of the classroom and step into a new one, in which they discover the outdoors, engage in friendly competition, and delight in playing with one another.

We are delighted to share that Heritage is home to a 2023 CLT10 National Award Winner: Nicholas Dolas! The CLT10 National Award recognizes the top fifty students in the nation (top 1%) for their performance on the CLT10 during their sophomore year. Given the thousands of students who take the CLT10 each year, earning the National Award is an outstanding accomplishment. We are so proud of you, Nicholas!

New Faculty Spotlight!

Please welcome our new Class 8 and Class 9 English teacher, Ms. Blythe Coker! Prior to Heritage, Ms. Coker taught at Intown Community School, and she previously served in youth ministry. Ms. Coker earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in English Education from Georgia State University. We are grateful for her strong desire and commitment to continue discipling young people while teaching English!

New Faculty Spotlight!

Ms. Elisha Bronner has join our team as a Class 3 teacher. Elisha attended Agnes Scott College for her undergraduate education and Emory University for her master’s degree, both of which were in Public Health. During college, she studied abroad in Ghana and saw the interconnectedness of public health and education, which ultimately led her to teaching.

Over the last two years she has been serving as a Teach for America Corps Member teaching 2nd grade in Memphis, Tennessee. She strongly desires to teach in a Christian school and has a long-term dream of opening a Christian school in Ghana. We are excited that our Class 3 students are already benefiting from her passion and strong commitment to serve the Lord.

Every day, our Class 5 students have the great privilege of raising and lowering the American flag in honor and respect for our nation.

Today, on the anniversary of 9/11, we pause to remember the lives lost and pray for their loved ones.

New Faculty Spotlight!

Mr. David Bishop has taken on the role of Director of Student Support. He actually began on Monday, April 17 to ensure a smooth transition for the student support program for our 2023-2024 school year.

David earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy from Augusta University. He has spent his career in private practice, most recently working as an occupational therapist at Emory Rehab Hospital.

David is committed to the mission of the Heritage student support program and has been a wonderful addition to our team. Mr. Bishop will be able to provide occupational therapy services to our students, allowing us to meet the needs of more children.

Ms. Megan Roberts joined our team as a Class 2 teacher. She earned her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Northern Arizona University. For the last two years, she has served as the Director of the Mothers Morning Out program at Morningside Church.

Many of you have gotten to know Ms. Roberts during her years of serving at Morningside and have seen her love of the Lord, her giftedness as a teacher, and the wonderful way that she pours into children and partners with parents.

She is passionate about the Heritage way and has been a wonderful addition to our team!

New Faculty Spotlight!

Let's shine a light on Ms. Sara Beth Jones, who has taken on the vital role of being our College Counselor. In this role, she will be supporting students as they prepare for college admissions and consider their postsecondary options. Ms. Jones previously served as an admissions counselor at Samford University. She graduated from Samford where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

We are so thankful for her role on our faculty as our inaugural high school class will begin looking at their lives beyond Heritage!

The faithfulness of God was on full display during our first all-school chapel as we celebrate 25 years of existence and look ahead to what He is building at Heritage.

Our third high school class, the Class of 2027, participated in a pinning ceremony as they build something of eternal significance within our high school as the founders of Heritage Prep High School. The red door pin intentionally symbolizes our Founders Club, the first four classes of our high school. The red doors reflect the doors leading into our North Campus chapel and represent entry into a new chapter in the life of our school and our graduates' legacy as they are sent out to serve the kingdom of God and engage culture faithfully.

We’re not uniform as a community, but we are unified as a community, and that makes a significant difference when parents partner together to instill a Gospel-centered worldview in their children.

Heritage parents turned out in force for our Moms Social and Dads Night this week. What a joy to kick off the new school year with fun, fellowship, and flowers. Many thanks to Laura Parsons, Will Hargrove, and Steve Gertz for their leadership and investment in our community!

08/22/2023

It's our first full week back to school, and the Rams are ready to GO! The future looks bright for Heritage's first-ever Varsity volleyball team as they took home a win at their inaugural game of the season!

It has been a joy to watch our students grow deeper in their relationships with their classmates and teachers over the last three days on their Reconnect trips! Class 6 through high school students participated in guided activities that fostered teamwork and connection to strengthen their relationships outside of the classroom!!

“Who is like you, O LORD, among the gods?
Who is like you, majestic in holiness,
awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?” (Exodus 15:11)

We surely were filled with awe and wonder on our first day of school for all the Lord has done! What a great honor it is to celebrate 25 years at Heritage Preparatory School!

What a privilege it was to shine a light on our exceptional students who engage wholeheartedly in their Heritage experience while maintaining a high level of scholarship, character, and athletic achievement.

The success of our academic program is measured by the extent to which our students embody the Portrait of a Graduate, and we believe the future is bright at Heritage Prep.

05/15/2023

Heritage moms, thank you for saying "yes" to the high, holy, and absolutely essential calling to shape the next generation. Happy Mother's Day!

It was a day to remember! Thank you to Coach Dewalt for planning and executing our beloved tradition of Field Day, along with a wonderful team of parents who led our rotations throughout the day. Go, Rams!

Photos from Heritage Preparatory School's post 04/30/2023

One of our favorite days of the year for our lower school students is TOMORROW! The weather may have pushed back Field Day one school day, but it sure won't stop us from having a memorable day this Monday! We're ready to see our students arrive in their field day colors while representing the Heritage Rams for a day filled with fun and friendly competition. This year, we have five teams representing our lower school: We are the Rampions, Roaring Rampede, The Raminators, The Battering Rams, and The Rampage!

We love History Day because it’s a day set aside when history comes to life for our students!

This year, students explored events and people that have shaped modern history (1813-2023). Our morning began with the first World’s Expo at Heritage, then students had the opportunity to experience the Underground Railroad, discover what Ellis Island might have been like, learn about the great innovations in transportation and food, navigate the Oregon Trail, engage in different types of modern warfare, and take on a little spring training with some of the baseball greats of the last 100 years. Thank you to the army of parents who made this day unforgettable.

04/20/2023

"Heritage has taken the lead!" What an unforgettable moment as James Strange (C7) crosses the finish line after running the fastest 1600 in conference history (4:56!)

Let's cheer for our Heritage Rams as BOTH of our varsity boys and girls track teams hold the title of 1AA Region Champions as well as BOTH of our middle school boys and girls track teams won the MAAC division championship!

Our Varsity golf team holds the title of GIAA Region Champions, and the team will head to the state match later this month.

The future is BRIGHT for our MS baseball team after two playoff wins and placing 2nd in our division!

These victories are reminders of God's kindness and that we are better together than we are alone. GO RAMS!

We are wrapping up this week's Athletic Department Takeover with those who will lead our athletic department in the future … the Junior Rams! This program is designed for Enrichment II through Class 5 students who are currently training in a variety of sports to represent our middle and high school teams in the years ahead.

What a privilege it's been to shine a light on our exceptional athletes this week. Go Rams!

Thank you for being an integral part as we build students who think with excellence, believe with confidence, and live with character.

Photos from Heritage Preparatory School's post 04/13/2023

As in every pursuit, we desire sports to be another avenue for our students to reflect Jesus and His character to the world around them. As our students enter into the final stretch of their spring season, let's cheer them on to finish well and glorify Him in all things!

Day 3 of Athletic Department Takeover

Photos from Heritage Preparatory School's post 04/12/2023

We are grateful for the “all-in” mentality and culture that has been woven into the fabric of our athletic community. What a joy it is to showcase the talent and integrity of our basketball players on and off the court on Day 2 of the Athletic Department Takeover!

Photos from Heritage Preparatory School's post 04/12/2023

What a great start to our Athletic Department Takeover featuring our exceptional athletes competing in FALL sports.

As we feature different sports, we aim to highlight the small victories as well as the significant ones so that each student at Heritage Prep is reminded that we can always grow and become better in a craft, we’re better together than we are alone, and we can begin training our bodies now to be fit for future service to God.

04/09/2023

He is risen, Heritage Prep families! We celebrate the empty tomb and the resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Photos from Heritage Preparatory School's post 04/06/2023

And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:19)

It was a special morning as Enrichment II students participated in a Passover meal. May our students gain a true understanding and devotion towards our Passover Lamb and join in with John the Baptist to say, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)
