Happy Monday PTA Leaders!

We hope everyone is enjoying a great summer so far!

As many of you may have already noticed, our Georgia PTA emails are still not working. I want to apologize profusely to any leader who has been unsuccessful in communicating with either Georgia PTA or District 9 PTA.

Until further notice, we have created a District 9 email that will come directly to the District Director. To reach District 9, please use [email protected] or call/text at 404.907.7120 (Tammy's cell phone).

AUDIT

The District 9 Audit Committee will start audits in July. We will have dedicated days scheduled soon to come to both Douglas and Paulding Counties to perform audits there, as well as schedule days for Cobb and Marietta City. If you wish to have your audit done by District 9's Audit Committee, please fill in the attached Google Form so we can get you scheduled.

This will be the last summer we will be doing audits for free. Starting August 3, 2026, the cost of an audit will be $50, which will in turn go into a scholarship fund that will allow us to help send more of our local leaders to training.

TRANSITION OF OFFICERS

Ensuring a smooth transition from one PTA Board to the next is of tantamount importance to ensuring continued success for your PTA. Officers who are rolling off after years of service to their students and school want to leave gracefully while offering a final service in leadership development to new leaders.

Transition is a collaborative process between leaders and is critical to the continued success of your PTA. You should have already be holding meetings to share passwords, scheduling a date to remove and add officers to the checking account, updating Council and State of changes in leadership, preparing for audit, etc. If this has not yet been completed, a transition meeting needs to be held ASAP as the new school year starts sooner than we all think!

PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO YOUR NEW BOARD IF THEY HAVE NOT BEEN INPUTTED INTO TOTEM. If they have not been entered into Totem, please do so ASAP.

We will have more information coming out soon about new year start-up and a Membership Training.

Thank You!

Dear Convention Attendees,

We have an important schedule update regarding one of our featured speakers for the 2026 Georgia PTA Convention & Leadership Training.

Due to an unexpected change in her schedule, Congresswoman Lucy McBath will now join us on Friday evening, June 5, 2026, during the Awards Ceremony, rather than during Saturday's General Session as previously announced.
We are grateful that Congresswoman McBath has worked with us to remain part of our convention program, and we are excited to welcome her as a special guest during this celebration of leadership and service.

Revised Schedule Awards Ceremony

Date: Friday, June 5, 2026

Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Location: Mill Creek Middle School Gymnasium

Special Guest Speaker: Congresswoman Lucy McBath

Saturday's General Session will proceed as scheduled with our other distinguished guests and convention programming.
We understand that many attendees were looking forward to hearing Congresswoman McBath on Saturday and appreciate your flexibility as we accommodate this change. We encourage all attendees to join us Friday evening for what promises to be an inspiring Awards Ceremony and an opportunity to hear from one of Georgia's most recognized leaders and advocates for children and families.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Georgia PTA. We look forward to seeing you in Woodstock as we come together to Inspire, Lead, and Achieve.

Please note: If you have shared convention information with members of your local PTA, council, or district, we would appreciate your assistance in helping us spread this important schedule update.
