It’s been decided they won’t be allowed to join the group. If you know anyone who’s requesting to join and has a locked profile you’ll need to pass this information along.

Hi everyone. Facebook is making changes through updates to the platform; these are beyond the control we have with the page.

Unfortunately it looks as if the “Page” for Home Park Elementary (this post you’re currently reading means you’re on the Page not the Group) has been affected more, many posts were deleted.

Please search for “Home Park Elementary - State Street - Ga Tech Group” on Facebook to join. There are over 350 members there.

So if you note things seem a bit off that’s why.

If anyone’s curious about exterior/interior post condo renovation…

1031 State St NW APT 305, Atlanta, GA 30318 | Zillow For sale: $249,000. Constructed in 1911 as an elementary school for the historic Home Park neighborhood in NW Atlanta, the building was converted to a condominium in 2004. All the condo units are modern, but the all-brick building still retains much of its charming Italian Renaissance Revival style....

Some old home park school pictures I just came across

Hi everyone. I wanted to share that when I first started the “Home Park Elementary” page it was a (Facebook) page. At some point Facebook asked me to create a group/change it to a group; which I did. I thought one would replace the other. Last year I realized it did not and there are two locations on Facebook for “Home Park Elementary”, both a page and a group. Confusing right!! I’ve thought of closing one but both the page and the group have a good following. Today I (hopefully) linked both to the other in hopes that you don’t miss info posted in one place but not the other. Thanks everyone.

If anyone has class photos from their time at Home Park Elementary we would love to have them posted on the main page. I myself will be adding a couple from my first and second grades sometime shortly. Also if anyone can get photos of the property as it stands now We would love to have them posted.

Anyone remember the original Kool Korner's shop at the corner of 14th and State? As a child I never understood the long line for the store. As an adult and having the opportunity to enjoy the cuban sandwiches on a few occasions before he relocated to Alabama it made complete sense. Someone in my news feed brought them up today.

I will try and get a fresh picture of the building soon. I had a few when I started the group but can't find them now. Thx.
