Full circle with Mica McGinley-Smith โšพ๐Ÿฆ…

For neuroscience and behavioral biology major, Mica McGinley-Smith, baseball was never just a game, it was a foundation. But his journey didnโ€™t stop at the field. Through research, service, and cofounding Emoryโ€™s chapter of The Hidden Opponent, Mica expanded his impact beyond athletics, ultimately making the difficult decision to step away from baseball to fully pursue his growing passion for medicine. Supported by teammates, coaches, and mentors, he embraced change not as a loss, but as an opportunity to grow.

Goal setting with Leah Wang โšฝ๐Ÿฆ…

As part of the first group of young women to earn the prestigious Eagle Scout rank through Scouting America, she built a foundation of leadership and service that continues to shape her journey today. Now on Emory Womenโ€™s Soccer team, majoring in history and business, Leah balances the demands of competition and academics while making an impact far beyond the field.

Tipping off with Lily Kennedy. ๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿฆ…

A senior biology major and guard for Emory Womenโ€™s Basketball, Lily Kennedy chose Emory for the chance to compete at a high level, and stayed for the academics that pushed her even further. From earning UAA Winter All-Academic honors to conducting summer research in Emoryโ€™s Draganova Lab, Lily shows how the focus and discipline learned on the court carry straight into the classroom.
