Welcome to the third grade’s Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Market, where students take on the roles of Spanish-speaking vendors and customers, bringing their vocabulary, communication skills and cultural knowledge of the Dominican Republic to life! All fresh produce from the market—enough to feed 75 families—was donated to the Atlanta Community Food Bank, reinforcing the connection between food, language and community engagement.
