We do things differently. Intentionally. One thing being to watch movies which further solidify the lesson. We would like to wholeheartedly recommend "Sarah's Oil" which can be seen right now for free with an Amazon Prime Video subscription. The child in the post, dressed in mostly period attire, and with her project board, was 4 when she learned about the youngest millionaire in the US, Sarah Rector. 5 years later, she is thrilled to learn more, through a wonderfully portrayed movie.

If you watch the movie, we would love to hear your thoughts. Leave a comment.

Every trip we take has an educational component. Moving the college student home, gave us opportunity to stop by Moton Field Municipal Airport and the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site. Going here, is literally a step back in time, though the airport is still a fully functioning field for small planes and private jets. No commercial service is available. This is the place where America's first Black military aviators were trained. Home of the , the 332nd Fighter Group. What we learn in books, we seek to see...personally.

Catching up on posts as the end of the year came in hot. We followed the 🦋, simply buying a kit on Amazon. I had my doubts but 5 live caterpillars came and a few weeks later we added to the world, 5 butterflies. When done again, we will have pollinators plants like in our garden to help sustain them and keep them close a while longer.
