Attendee Guidelines - If you are attending the ceremony, be sure to review the Atlanta Public Schools Graduation Guidelines, which include strict venue policies.

Bag Policy: McCamish Pavilion enforces a clear bag policy. All bags must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" or be a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag.

Prohibited Items: No balloons, noise makers, strollers, or large signs are permitted in the arena.

LIVESTREAM AND MEDIA: For family and friends unable to attend in person, the event will be broadcast live. You can access the official Daniel M. Therrell High School Commencement on YouTube.

The D.M. High School Alumni Association invites you to join us this Friday, May 8, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. for a special ’s Day Lunch with the senior residents of Meadows Senior Living Apartments.

Our 2026 theme is: “Honoring the Mothers Who Helped Build Our Village.”

We are looking for alumni volunteers to come fellowship, serve lunch, share smiles, music, conversation, and love with our senior mothers and grandmothers in the community. This is a beautiful opportunity to represent the Panther spirit through service, compassion, and community engagement.

This is a friendly reminder of the APS Alumni Association Meeting is taking place on Monday, March 23rd at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held inside of the ABOE Auditorium located at 130 Trinity Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30303 (free parking is located at 155 Garnett St., Atlanta, GA 30303). The D.M. Therrell High School Alumni Association, Inc. adopted QLS Meadows at 3060 Continental Parkway near Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta, GA in June this year. On Friday, December 19, 2025 from 1-3pm, we are bringing hoiliday cheer to the 62+ residents with gifts, games, food and fellowship, If you are a Therrell High School Alumni member of any graduating class and would like to volunteer to help us, we have 4 spots available as we can only have up to 10 people on property for this event. We are also accepting donations of shelf-stable food items, gift cards, gifts for seniors, and cash if you would like to drop off donations from 1-3pm. One of our our teachers have transitioned! MR. ROBERT RICHARDSON, math teacher at D.M. Therrell High School in Atlanta, Geogia has died. He lived a great life from September 6, 1939 - December 8, 2025. A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Robert Richardson will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 11 AM at Murray Brothers Funeral Home Cascade Chapel, 1199 Utoy Springs Rd. SW, Atlanta, GA 30331.

Mr. Richardson's viewing is being held today from 3-8 PM at Murray Brothers Funeral Home.
