The research-based Orton-Gillingham approach is the foundation of each multi-sensory, sequential & systematic lesson. Miss Beth has an Orton-Gillingham Associate Level Certification and over 25 years of experience guiding students to reach their academic potential. In the past 5 years, 95% of Odom Tutoring students achieved or exceeded their appropriate grade level reading & English language goals
, as well as on county and state standardized tests. In addition to Miss Beth's work with both children and adult literacy initiatives, she has also promoted literacy behind the scenes in various organizations in and around Metro Atlanta including:
- Executive Board Recording Secretary for International Dyslexia Association of Georgia,
- President of the Atlanta Metropolitan Literacy Network,
- Executive Board Member and Treasurer of Georgia Adult Literacy Association, and
- Award winner of the Turner Education's Outstanding Teacher of the Year.
