The GA-AIMH Conference has served as a space for Georgia’s child- and family-serving community to come together around our shared commitment to providing the best possible care for infants, young children, families, and the professionals who support them.

This year, we’re centering our conference around the theme Listening In—an invitation to be present, lead with humility and curiosity, and deepen our understanding of the families we serve and the work we do.

Together, we’ll reflect on and celebrate our journey while looking ahead to what’s next.

We are pleased to announce that Claudia M. Gold, MD will be this year’s keynote speaker.

Dr. Gold is a pediatrician and writer who practiced general and behavioral pediatrics for more than 20 years and now specializes in early relational health. She has devoted her professional life to advancing this work through writing, teaching, and public speaking.

Her talk will explore this year’s theme, Listening In—embracing a stance of not knowing as a way of entering another person’s experience with curiosity, openness, and humility.

Happy Children’s Mental Health Week! As advocates of early relational health and partners in this work, we’re proud to amplify DECAL’s annual celebration.

GA-AIMH kicked off the week with our Early Childhood Summit, bringing together more than 100 professionals dedicated to supporting children and their families. This gathering not only marked the start of Children’s Mental Health Week, but also the beginning of a special series of events celebrating five years of impact at GA-AIMH.

The summit featured a powerful grounding talk by Dr. Lee Johnson III, inviting us to reflect on one simple yet powerful question: What Will the Children Remember? We also heard from Dr. Jennifer Mascaro, who shared insights on sustaining this work and moving from burnout to balance.
