Bestselling author Simon Sinek describes The Law of Diffusion of Innovation in a viral video.
In it, he explains there’s a 15-18% ‘tipping point’ of early adoption, before the scale favors widespread acceptance of a new trend.
During pandemic lockdowns, millions were introduced to the Work From Anywhere (WFA) lifestyle.
In many sectors, that ‘tipping point’ was blown-through - by multiples. The genie was let out of the bottle.

After losing my award-winning hometown physical therapy clinic to greedy physician self-referral - then having to work for the VERY people who put me out of business (due to lack of local job opportunity), a miracle happened.
A chance to work as the onsite PT at the big plant in Palatka availed itself to me. God saw me suffer enough - and lent me a hand.
What was supposed to be a 1-2 year contract for 10-20 hours a week became a full-time gig for 6 years (12,000 onsite hours). During that time, I got to work with some of the BEST people of my career.
It made me feel like the ‘Mike Rowe’ of my field, as I learned not only about the many ‘Dirty Jobs’ in the plant - but also - the exceedingly good people who filled those jobs diligently, honorably and honestly.
It was the peak of my long clinical career, and I’ve taught about my experiences - around the US and internationally - ever since. Mike Rowe is my spirit-guide. Looking forward to his long-awaited return to sing the praises of hard, honest work - and the people who do it.

We put ALL FIVE levels of OSHA’s Hierarchy of Controls to peak use - not just one or two of them. Reductionism is woefully out of date.
The broadening field of Ergonomics is now multivariate, combinatorial and integrated. Its modern properties are emergent, not reductive.
