Last Thursday, sixth grade students took advantage of the beautiful Spring weather and sketched the outdoor Stations of the Cross.

Seventh grade enjoyed a Steam tour today at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
Thank you to a former OLA parent who spoke to Mrs. Brown's fifth grade math class today about the history and overview of the stock market.
The Mother/Son Tailgate was a huge success! There was a visit from Bob the Bobcat, a DJ, games, crafts, and pizza. Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this night possible. 🏈⚾⚽
Fourth grade science students worked in groups creating projects depicting pollinators and pollination.
A special thanks to our safety patrol students and teachers who braved the rainy Monday morning carpool.
Third grade students enjoyed their field trip today to the Duluth Train Museum.
What a fantastic Kindness Week! We wrapped up our coat drive this morning and donated coats to three local elementary schools in need. We also welcomed OLA parent, Dr. Poplawski, and her CHOA therapy dog, Conway. She spoke to third through fifth grade students about the therapy dogs and their role at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Thank you to Annamarie and Sam Robb for speaking to our third, fourth and middle school students today about their son Sam and the Sam Robb Fund for Cure Childhood Cancer. Students wore their Sam Robb Basketball Tournament shirts and sports jerseys with a donation to the Sam Robb Fund.
On Ash Wednesday, as a symbol of their leadership, the eighth-grade students distributed the ashes. What a wonderful way to begin the Lenten season.
Kindness Week continued today with a coat drive. A local elementary school is in need of used coats for their students and families.
WOW, our school answered the call and donated so many coats! The coat drive continues through Friday. Thank you for helping serve children and families in need!
This week is Kindness Week at OLA. We passed out paper smiles, brightening everyone's day, older students read to younger students, first and second grade students visited with therapy dogs and today with a donation to Mission Syrah Paws, students wore crazy hats or hair. Stay tuned for more kindness the rest of the week!
