Good afternoon, all! Today is our first Ally Tip Tuesday!
When you find out that someone you know is a part of the LGBT+ community, avoid asking the question “How did your family react to you coming out?” It can be a triggering question that is better left up to the individual to disclose at their own comfort level. Instead, try asking if they have a reliable support system!
And of course, everyone is different! Some people may be fine to talk about their family, but it’s best to approach the topic with consideration and respect! 😊
