The Spiritually Minded Life 06/05/2024

In the last section of The Spiritually Minded Life manual, we will be taking a closer look at the life of Jesus. He is often called the Pattern Son, which means His life is a guide for us. Jesus practiced 3 disciplines that supported Him in fulfilling His purpose: Submission, Suffering and Death.

As a review, watch Episodes 6, 7 and 8 of The Spiritually Minded Life teaching series on YouTube. As you watch, think about areas in your life where you can better follow the Pattern. Here is the link:

The Spiritually Minded Life In Romans Chapter 8, verse 1, the Apostle Paul tells us that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. He then tells us that the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death. To be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is l...

I quoted this scripture several times during The Spiritually Minded Life teaching series now on YouTube, however, something stood out this time that I didn't see before. I have confessed verse 5 many times as a stand alone verse but if you notice, it's connected to verses 6-8. The colon after verse 5 introduces the list of the same thoughts of Jesus that we should have about ourselves.

1. That it's not robbery to be equal with God (verse 6).

2. That we should take on the form of a servant (verse 7).

3. That we should be humble, obey and die (to our flesh) (verse 8).

We can't believe in Genesis that we are made in the image and after the likeness of God and then reject the ideas mentioned in this scripture. Read the NLT and Message version for more clarity.

Philippians 2:5-8
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion[a] as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

The Spiritually Minded Life is a life led by the Holy Spirit and His guidance is not just needed for major decisions.

Practice seeking Him for what you might consider the small things: what you should eat, how you should dress, whether or not to respond to a situation, which route to take to your destination. This will help you to develop a lifestyle of asking and hearing which hopefully, will develop a lifestyle of obedience.

"One of the things that helped Jesus to fulfill His purpose was the fact that He understood His truest identity. He knew that He was a son of God, made in His image and after His likeness, irregardless of the other identities He took on while here on earth. He never allowed the fact that He was the SON of Joseph and Mary, the BROTHER of James, a CARPENTER or a FRIEND to His disciples take priority over His truest identity and His assignment.

Which of your 'other identities' is getting in the way of your progress?"

"The challenges we experience during a paradigm shift reveal how far we've moved away from our truest identity, a spirit made in the image and likeness of God. Its time to re-align."

Facebook family and friends, I will be moving the e-manual release date forward to July 7, 2024. What's interesting is that I didnt think anyone would notice until Lavonda Rogers Williams sent a congratulations message a few hours ago. So, I guess my concern was correct. I want this revelation to have maximum impact, maximum influence, I want it to come directly from the throne room, and I knew that wouldn't happen if I released it today. Our new release date is 7/7/24. Look for more posts, interactive engagement opportunities and discussions. This is life-changing...to God be the glory!! Thank you Eric Davis for your wise council and KaShara Marie Starks for your creative genuis!

I was talking to a good friend of mine who has been delaying some things that God has spoken to her to do. She said, "I had to go see a doctor and tell him that I'm dealing with anxiety." I told her, "That's not anxiety, that's conviction!! You cannot medicate the conviction of Holy Spirit!" We LOL for several minutes! 🤣🤣

Napoleon Hill's Thought for the Day:

Remember, a kite flies against the wind, not with it.

It is important to recognize from the beginning that success will not be achieved easily. Achievers—like a kite struggling against the gusts—soar to great heights, firmly anchored to a philosophy of success that keeps them on course, regardless of the difficulties they encounter along the way.

Make sure you are anchored to a philosophy that will sustain you despite the difficulties you will most certainly face in your quest for success. When you know what you are about, when you have definite goals and a plan for achieving them, you may be buffeted by the winds of circumstance, but you will never be blown permanently off course. The stronger the wind, the higher you will fly.

Napoleon Hill's Thought for the Day:

It takes more than a name on a church membership to make a Christian.
Christianity is not a passive religion; it is the active application of beliefs. Simply understanding the basic tenets of faith is not enough. Being a Christian means actively practicing your religion, taking positive actions to improve your character, and behaving kindly and generously toward others. The Bible is filled with instructions for living a good and decent life, and all involve constructive action on the part of believers.

In any aspect of your life, you may choose to be an observer or an active participant. You may learn a great deal from observation, but there comes a time when you will be measured by your own contribution, not simply what you’ve learned by watching others. The principle is the same in your religious, personal or business life. In the final analysis, you will be measured not by the depth of your beliefs, but by the actions you take because of them.

"Paradigm shifts can be difficult. They force you to challenge deep rooted belief systems and to acknowledge that these old systems are no longer serving you well. There is often a feeling of betrayal against those that worked so hard to instill in you what they believed to be valuable. As difficult as they may be, these shifts are necessary if we are going to fulfill our purpose as the sons of God."

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
