Behind every student milestone is a team of people working with care, purpose, and dedication.

Today, we’re recognizing our amazing Admin Team for the many ways they support our students, faculty, and program—from everyday needs to some of our most meaningful celebrations.

Thank you for helping make the South College Atlanta DPT community what it is!

The Classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027 each took on the wheelchair mobility experience during Health Promotion and Fitness Management Lab!

Through hands-on practice, students experienced how slopes, curbs, uneven surfaces, and the built environment can influence mobility and accessibility.

Class of 2028, your turn will be here before you know it! 👀

The journey through a DPT program is challenging, but it is also filled with friendships, encouragement, and people who understand exactly what it takes.

Between the labs, lectures, and long study days, these are the moments, and the people, that make the experience memorable.

We’re Heading Back to the BeltLine!

Last year, members of our South College Atlanta DPT community came together to help care for the Atlanta BeltLine and we’re getting ready to do it again!

Our annual BeltLine cleanup returns this September, giving our students, faculty, and staff another opportunity to serve the community we call home.

Stay tuned for this year’s cleanup details!

Today’s Faculty Spotlight is Dr. Schulte!

Dr. Schulte leads Differential Diagnosis and Screening for Referral and also supports students in courses such as Musculoskeletal Practice II. Students especially appreciate the patience, knowledge, and sense of humor he brings to the classroom.

Thank you, Dr. Schulte, for helping our DPT students strengthen their clinical reasoning while making the learning process a little more enjoyable along the way!

Katie understood the assignment and absolutely delivered! 👏😂

From realistic wound simulations to hands-on clinical problem-solving, our integumentary lab gave DPT students the opportunity to learn, create, and put their knowledge into practice.

Student Spotlight:

Meet Sam P. from the Class of 2026!
When asked to describe his DPT journey in five words, Sam chose:

Adaptable. Growth. Sacrifice. Intense. Grateful.

His advice for anyone making their way through PT school:

“Find your ‘why.’ Write it down somewhere, and every time you’re faced with a difficult situation, read it out loud. Remind yourself that your goal is greater than your current struggle.

Stick to your plan, show up every day, and be consistent. Even if it’s just small improvements each day, keep moving forward. Slow motion is better than no motion.”

Thank you, Sam, for sharing such an honest and meaningful reflection on the journey!

Good care begins before the first assessment or intervention, it begins with listening.

During the Aging Adult Lab, our DPT students practiced gathering meaningful information, adapting their approach, and supporting safe mobility while recognizing the individual experiences and goals each person brings to their care.

Because helping someone maintain independence starts with understanding what independence means to them.

Documenting our very first clinical rotations! 📸

The Class of 2027 has officially traded the classroom for clinical settings, where students are beginning to apply their knowledge, build confidence, and learn alongside practicing clinicians.

Here’s a glimpse of one student’s first days on rotation and we can’t wait to share more clinical check-ins throughout the quarter!

Class of 2027, how is your first rotation going? 👇
