📣 We’re hiring an Evaluation Specialist!

Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance is seeking an experienced evaluation professional to join our Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement (PEQI) subcenter.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal and external partners to design and implement evaluation plans, develop data collection tools, analyze qualitative and quantitative data, manage evaluation data, and translate findings into clear, actionable reports.

We’re looking for someone with experience in:

✔ Program evaluation, assessment, or quality improvement
✔ Developing evaluation plans and data collection tools
✔ Conducting focus groups, key informant interviews, or quantitative analyses
✔ Managing data and preparing evaluation reports
✔ Using platforms such as Qualtrics, REDCap, SurveyMonkey, or similar tools

Experience with qualitative analysis software—including MAXQDA, ATLAS.ti, or NVivo—or quantitative analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata is preferred.

This Fourth of July marks a historic milestone: 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

As our nation reflects on its past and looks toward its future, Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance is also celebrating a meaningful milestone of our own—25 years of advancing public health through training, technical assistance, evaluation, and partnership.

For a quarter century, we have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated professionals and organizations committed to helping communities thrive. Their work reflects the enduring importance of public health—from preventing disease and preparing for emergencies to strengthening systems and expanding access to resources that support healthier lives.

As America celebrates 250 years, we are grateful for the people and partnerships that have shaped our first 25—and inspired by the work still ahead.

Knowing your HIV status is a powerful step toward protecting your health—and the health of others.

This National HIV Testing Day, Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance joins public health partners across the country in encouraging everyone to make HIV testing part of routine health care.

HIV testing is available in more places than you may realize, including:

🏥 Local health departments and sexual health clinics
💊 Pharmacies
🚐 Mobile testing sites and community events
🏠 At-home self-testing options

In celebration of Juneteenth, we actively and intentionally encourage our staff and community partners to take visible action to advocate for and advance the rights of all people through systemic changes that remove barriers and enable equitable access to health and education. The 2026 Lifestyle Coach Convening is in the books!🎉

Coaches from 48 states came together for two jam-packed days at "Camp Coachee" — our summer camp-themed convening, hosted by the Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance and the Diabetes Training and Technical Assistance Center (DTTAC).

From breakout sessions across six competency areas to posters, photo stories, peer networking, and inspiring speakers like Dr. Michael Cannon from the CDC and Dr. Caree Cotwright from the University of Georgia, there was no shortage of learning and connection.

And, of course, we made plenty of time for meaningful fun along the way!
