Healing has occurred when you can recall moments that stretched you with gratitude. And when you can remember people who offered those moments with fondness.

Healing is the recognition that every uncomfortable season was still working in your favor, even when it didn’t feel like it. It always was. It always is.

And when you can honor the version of you who kept going in the midst of that discomfort, you create space to fully step into who you’re becoming.

Today, my heart is filled with gratitude for where I’ve been, where I stand, and where I’m headed. And I’m sending that same sense of satisfaction to anyone reading this.

Whoever said, “grief comes in waves,” knew what they were talking about.

I was on a run the other and found myself in tears, remembering my beloved cousin who recently passed on.

Today’s post is a result of the thoughts I processed during my run.

I wanted my first post after a while to be about this beautiful human being who left an indelible impact on my life 🫶🏾.

There is an abundance of things life has to teach us if we pay close enough attention. My most recent lesson was from a hiking trip I took over the weekend 🥾

My conclusion is that it doesn’t really matter how fast you go, how many stops you make, or even if you make a false start, as long as the goal is worth the effort to you.
