I’m delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the Principals Center's 2026 Lighting the Path Leadership Award 🏆! This prestigious honor recognizes visionary educational leaders who illuminate the way for future generations through transformative leadership, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in education.
Last year, we proudly recognized April Crawford, Ph.D., Deputy Superintendent (Student Support Services) of Clayton County Public Schools, as our 2025 award recipient. Dr. Crawford's dynamic leadership, dedication to equity, and passion for student success exemplify the spirit of this award, inspiring others to follow in her footsteps and continue lighting the path forward.

Tomorrow, we officially kick off our Seminar for Assistant Principals at the Principal Center Satellite Site in partnership with Bibb County School District!
We’re honored to welcome 5️⃣4️⃣ dynamic assistant principals into this year’s cohort as we deepen our commitment to building instructional leadership capacity across . This milestone would not be possible without the transformational leadership of Superintendent Dr. Dan A. Sims, and the unwavering support of Dr. Katika Lovett and Dr. Tamara Candis. Your partnership is helping to shape the next generation of school leaders.
We are also grateful to Superintendent Dr. Sherrod Williford and the team of assistant principals from Dooly County Schools who are joining us in this important work.
