CEC and NCTM - National Council of Teachers of Mathematics have released a joint position statement recognizing the important role of educators in ensuring students with disabilities have access to and success with grade/course-level standards, receive high-quality instruction, and are supported by systems that believe in their abilities.

Thereโs still time to apply for GaDOEโs Teacher Policy Fellowship! This is a unique professional learning opportunity designed to introduce classroom teachers to public education policy and policymaking. During this nine-month program, fellows will gain knowledge on policy design and implementation through seminars, conversations, and projects. The TPF uses a blended virtual and face-to-face learning approach so Fellows can continue teaching in their classrooms. In addition, Fellows travel to Washington, D.C. for 2-3 days in the spring to study education policy at the federal level.
