This week, Ralph Coates, Associate Director of Morehouse College TRIO Programs, and Keno Jones, Program Manger of Regional Upward Bound Math Science TRIO Program, traveled to Washington, D.C. for the annual Council for Opportunity in Education - COE Policy Seminar.
The seminar brought together nearly 1,000 TRIO professionals from across the country for several days of professional development, leadership training, and, most importantly, advocacy.
While in D.C., Ralph and Keno had the opportunity to meet with numerous legislative aides such as Matthew Golden—Legislative Assistant to Rep. Lucy McBath who is a tremendous supporter of SAEOPP on Capitol Hill, Mr. Coates, Keno Jones, & other Georgia TRIO Professionals, advocating for TRIO programs at Morehouse College and nationwide.
