On August 1, 2026, longtime Mazury dancers Victoria and Daniel tied the knot in picturesque Portland, Maine!
Their wedding was a beautiful celebration of tradition, featuring a live kapela, a lively kołomyjka, and a special performance by Mazury. One of the highlights was the traditional oczepiny, during which the bride's floral wreath was ceremonially replaced with a headscarf, symbolizing her transition from maidenhood into married life.
We also took part in the beloved tradition of shaking the apple tree, where six apples fell into the bride's lap, symbolizing wishes for a fruitful marriage and, according to tradition, six children in the years to come. 🍎❤️
