LearningRx - Atlanta Buckhead

LearningRx - Atlanta Buckhead LearningRx can help!

When memory, attention, reading, or comprehension skills are weak, learning and life can be harder than it needs to be.\nAt LearningRx, our brain training programs target and train these weak skills using a series of intense (but fun!) mental exercises that work on the way the brain learns, thinks, remembers, and performs.\nClients work one-on-one with their own personal brain trainer, which is a

big part of what makes us so unique and our results so effective. We work with both children and adults in Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Brookhaven, Dunwoody and Druid Hills.\nDo not let struggles with ADD, ADHA, Dyslexia, Reading, Math or a brain injury (TBI) hold you back!

It's easy to do as parents...

"We picked the wrong curriculum..."
"We didn't practice enough..."
"What if we did something wrong?"
"Why doesn't he get it?"

The doubts, worry, and self-blame creep in, and we wonder where things went wrong.

Hear this today: take a deep breath. It's not too late. And you've likely done everything you can for your child... their brain may just not be processing like it should be.

At LearningRx, we help peel back the layers so you can understand what's happening at a brain-skill level that's making reading, math, and learning so hard. Once you get clarity on that, the path forward can be so much clearer.

👉You'll have real answers about the kind of help your child actually needs in order to learn easier, faster, and better.

Not another worksheet.
Not more repetition of what already isn't working.

This is what it looks like when the actual skill behind the struggle (memory, processing speed, attention, whatever it is for your child) gets trained directly.

Past clients have told us the shift shows up everywhere: homework, reading, even just getting through the morning without a battle. Because when the brain is stronger, everything starts to feel a little bit easier.

If this school year is already starting to feel like last year on repeat, it might be time to find out what's really going on. Contact us today to learn more. 🧠✨

It can look like a child who takes forever to start.
Who erases everything and starts over or gets frustrated and shuts down.
Who was just fine five minutes ago and now is melting down over a worksheet.
Or who appears distracted or disengaged.

👉Because the behavior looks like avoidance, defiance, or a bad attitude, many kids with slow processing speed spend years being misread by their teachers, their parents, and sometimes even themselves.

If this sounds familiar, assessing your child's (or your own) processing speed and getting a complete cognitive profile can give you important information about what's happening in the brain to make learning harder and more frustrating than it needs to be.

As brain trainers, here's what we wished more parents knew...

👉Schools don't build cognitive skills. It's no fault of theirs; that's just not what they are designed to do.

If you've been counting on your child's school to help them get better at focusing, reasoning, thinking quickly, or memorizing things, you may be wondering why things aren't getting any better...

While teachers have some strategies to pass along, the group learning environment is not where real cognitive changes happen.

We love our local teachers and think they do an amazing job at imparting knowledge, fostering community, and giving kids the chance to try hard things.

👉We just wish more parents realized that there's a piece of the puzzle missing, and filling that gap with brain training could be the thing that changes a child's trajectory.

If you're curious about how we fit in to the team who supports a child through their educational journey, give us a call. We'd love to share more about our approach and the ways we can partner with you to make learning easier, faster, and better this year.

You don't train for a marathon by running a marathon. It's the work beforehand that makes you ready for the task.

When you're preparing for a marathon, you don't just show up and compete. You train. Stretch. Warm up. Cool down. Make a plan. Set goals.

👉We should think of prepping your child's brain for the school year the same way.

The brain needs targeted exercise, stretching, opportunities to grow, and new networks to form before it can have a chance at keeping up with the ever-rising expectations our kids are facing in school.

The best way to help a child who struggles in school is not to just make them do more school... It's to strengthen the tools they use for learning in the first place.

If your child's brain needs some training before the "marathon" gets too far ahead of them this year, give us a call. Our targeted one-on-one brain training programs help kids (and adults!) learn easier, faster, and better.

Any one else's brain feeling a little sluggish from summer break? 😅🙋‍♀️

The back-to-school transition can be a wake-up call, but doing some quick activities to engage your child's working memory, attention, and processing speed before they walk through the doors might help them feel a little more prepared!

Here's one of our favorites: set a timer for 30 seconds and decide on a category (could be countries, Disney princesses, colors, aquatic animals, or anything as general or obscure as you want). See how many items your child can name before time runs out.

This quick activity activates working memory, word recall, processing speed, long term memory, reasoning, and more core cognitive skills they'll need for the school year!

👉 Curious to learn more about what brain training looks like? Head to our website or give us a call.

Malcolm, a med student, came to LearningRx Atlanta because he was struggling to pass one of his step-up exams. Processing speed was slower than desired and tasks that required quick thinking, response, reading, or completing work within time limits often took longer and required extra effort.

He tried independent study approaches, but nothing with a consistent regimen or structured support. Then he found LearningRx.

His cognitive skills grew incredibly in a short program in large part due to his exceptional dedication and effort. There were noticeable improvements in processing speed, better task completion, and Malcolm now sees the value of his stronger visual memory and how well he remembers things, processes information, and solves problems!

Hear Malcolm’s story of self-reflection and personal growth with his experience with LearningRx.
