🎉🎉 I am so pleased to officially announce that SHANNON will be joining us in the fall teaching our Advanced Hip Hop program. We are so excited to have you!!
Shannon’s love for dance began at just two years old at Dancetrack Studio in Wakefield, Massachusetts, where she trained competitively in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop through the age of 18. Her passion for movement led her to continue her education at Salem State University, where she graduated magna cm laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sports & Movement Science.
Over the years, Shannon has choreographed for numerous studios across New England and spent nearly a decade as the varsity hip hop choreographer for Wakefield High School dance team. She also had the privilege of facilitating movement classes with the Light It Up Blue Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing programming for youth with autism. As an educator, Shannon is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where dancers can build confidence, develop strong technique, and discover the joy of movement. Shannon continues to invest in her own growth as a dancer, training with Linx, the all-female hip hop company under Rachel Buffer.
Outside the studio, she is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner by trade, combining her passion for wellness with her love of helping others live healthier, more balanced lives. When she’s not teaching or dancing, Shannon is most fulfilled in her role as mom to her daughter, Melina. She loves cooking nourishing meals, discovering new coffee shops, and spending quality time with family. Shannon is grateful to continue sharing her passion for dance while inspiring the next generation of dancers to move with confidence, creativity, and heart.
Please help me in welcoming her to SOPA!!
