It is back-to-school day for our GCA team! Today isn’t just about schedules, meetings, and preparation for the 2026-2027 school year. It is about coming together with a shared purpose: to love, lead, teach, and point our students toward Christ.

We are grateful for the people sitting around these tables and for the gifts, talents, and hearts each person brings to Grace Christian Academy.

Aaannnnd, cut! 🎬 That’s a wrap on 2026 at Freedom Tabernacle!
💥 We went out with a bang these last two weeks!!

🚧 One week was full of fun and excitement as we spent time learning about construction and all the ways God works to “build” us as His followers. For fun Friday, we welcomed our dear friends from JWM Enterprises LLC as they showcased opportunities in the construction industry and featured some of their heavy equipment. Our campers loved exploring the excavator and dump truck! We also built our own ice cream sundaes!🍨

😎 Our final week was one for the record books! We put the “fun” in Fun Friday at Crossroads in Wytheville with jumping, bowling, and laser tag! To celebrate an amazing summer, we ended camp with a ! Campers showcased their talents and everything they learned this summer through skits and songs with lots of laughs and the message of the Gospel!🎤📖

🌭We finished up with a cookout and fellowship with our families. We appreciate all the donations of food and drinks for this event! Several people worked tirelessly to cook, set up, and clean up, and we appreciate them as well. 🧑‍🍳

🙏 We are thankful for each and every family who trusted us to care for their children this summer. We are grateful for every child who blessed us with a smile, a hug, or a “this is the best summer ever”!
We appreciate our dedicated team of staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly to create and maintain a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for our campers. They went above and beyond, and we cant thank them enough! And, lastly, we give God all the glory for the great things He continues to do at GCA! 🙌🏻💜💛

Grace Christian Academy-Atkins, VA Welcomes Mr. Dillon Delp to Upper School Teaching Staff

Atkins, VA — Grace Christian Academy is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Dillon Delp to its teaching staff for the upcoming academic year. A native of Wythe County, Virginia, Mr. Delp brings both a strong academic background and a deep commitment to Christian education.

Mr. Delp holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from East Tennessee State University and a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. He is passionate about equipping students not only for academic success but also for a life grounded in strong character and a deep understanding of Scripture.

“We are excited to welcome Mr. Delp to the Grace Christian Academy family,” said Executive Director Lori Deel. “His heart for students and dedication to biblical truth align perfectly with our mission to provide a high-quality education, using biblical principles, to equip students spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially.”

Mr. Delp and his wife, Elizabeth, have one son. The Delp family is actively involved in their local church and community. Outside the classroom, Mr. Delp enjoys studying the Bible, woodworking, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.

Grace Christian Academy looks forward to the positive impact Mr. Delp will have on students and the school community.

✅ Cinderella at Barter Theatre
✅ Indoor waterpark at Wytheville Community Rec Center
✅ Learning and making memories
✅ Continuing to worship our Savior

We only have two more weeks left of camp! We can’t believe how fast it is going by. We can’t wait to make more memories over the next two weeks.
