These are the pads we use to make oxilic extended-release strips. We cut each pad into ten strips and put two between the brood boxes of each hive. So we get 1000 strips out of a $75.00 box @ .075 cents ea.

July 25th: Moved 96 hives onto 200 acres of solid knapweed. Bees are bringing in a little nectar, but we don't expect it to last long. It is so dry ! Ya'll be careful with your smokers... 🔥

Yesterday, July 24th, we did two mite washes on each of our bee yards. The majority of them washed two mites, but some were up there around 7 to 8. So we feel it's a good time to again apply
our extended oxylic pad treatment. The video below shows how we make them up.

The good news for us is the knapweed popped open on Monday 7/20. We have been working non stop moving as many bees as possible to the knapwwed. I just hope it has some nectar in it and it will last awhile. 🐝 🤞 🐝

Worked 14 yards of hives this week from one end of Bonner Co to the other; we found hungry bees. There's little to no honey flow and bees have mostly gone thru their stores. We found plenty of pollen, but very little honey. Sooo... we are feeding syrup in the middle of July ! 😞 Things are not looking good for us at the moment.
