STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

For over 30 years the Foundation has provided the Menlo Park City School District with an annual grant, which becomes part of the schools operating budget. We remain committed to increasing the size of the grant, thereby helping to bridge the funding gap. The School District and the School Board employ granted funds in accordance with the Strategic Plan. The most recent gran

t of $3.35 million, made in June 2012, represented over 10% of the District Budget. This grant has become a source of dependable funds for our schools.

But with over $3M left to raise, we’re going to need everyone’s help to get there. Where does your OCC investment go..in more places than you might think! Your one OCC donation supports your child’s school through both the PTO and district.

The first $300 of your OCC donation goes directly to your child’s school PTO, helping make possible the enrichment & events that bring your school community to life.

The remainder of your donation goes through MPAEF as a grant to our school district, supporting the specialists, elective teachers, academic support staff, and mental and physical health professionals at your child’s school who help all our students thrive.

The One Community Campaign is live! This is the critical annual fundraiser for Encinal, Laurel, Oak Knoll and Hillview schools. Each OCC donation supports excellence in our district by providing funding for (1) enrichment and events through your child's school PTO plus (2) a grant from the MPAEF to the school district, supporting essential staff and programming that are not the norm at most California public schools.

Our goal is to raise $4.1M by Sept 25 with a suggested donation of $3,000/student, but we always aim for 100% participation of any amount that feels meaningful for your family because every dollar counts and every donation matters. Next week is MPAEF’s Spring Dine Out Week (Monday April 27th - Friday May 1st)! 🌮🍱🍕

Please remember to order directly from the restaurants (orders via DoorDash, UberEats, or GrubHub do not apply) and mention “MPAEF” to restaurant staff.

When you dine with our participating restaurants, they will donate 10-25% of the proceeds to support our MPCSD schools (Encinal, Laurel, Oak Knoll, and Hillview). It’s a win-win for everyone!
